Actor John Travolta is stepping behind the camera for his latest film.
The project, “Propeller One-Way Night Coach,” is a new film adaptation from Travolta’s 1997 children’s book by the same name. Naturally, he couldn’t imagine anyone but his daughter, Ella Bleu, in one of the roles.

John Travolta Turns His Children’s Book Into a Family-Friendly Adventure Film
Fans are used to seeing John Travolta onscreen, but he’s shaking things up a bit for his newest film.
The movie follows young airplane enthusiast Jeff as he and his mother board the Propeller One-Way Night Coach. Jeff couldn’t be more excited about the adventure. The flight stops at major cities on the cross-country journey, including Pittsburgh, Chicago, Kansas City, Denver and Los Angeles.Â
In the trailer, John Travolta narrates as viewers see the experience through Jeff’s eyes.
“There was an absolute specimen of an aircraft, my first love,” Travolta narrates over the trailer. “This would begin an experience I would never forget. Here I am, on this plane, going to one of the farthest trips the airline offers. I never thought things could get better. The sun was shining and I was eating a hot dog at 600 miles per hour.”
Ella Bleu Travolta plays Doris the stewardess who can frequently be seen smiling and assisting Jeff throughout the trailer.
On Instagram, Travolta gushed over his daughter during a photoshoot.
“So proud of my baby girl @ella.bleu at the 2026 fashion US awards pink carpet. Look out for Ella in my directorial debut, ‘Propeller One-Way Night Coach,”‘ the 72-year-old declared.
In the comments, fans expressed admiration over the family’s close ties.
“So pretty like her mom, but then she favors you so much,” one kind fan wrote.
The ‘Grease’ Star Feels Tremendously Proud of His Children
As Ella Bleu Travolta stars in her father’s new film, her younger brother Benjamin has tremendous talents of his own.
In an Instagram post, John Travolta revealed his 15-year-old Ben is an incredibly accomplished skier. The athletic teen tackles the slopes with ease in the video. Down in the comments, fans of the Travolta family praised Ben for his skills and expressed hope they would see him in the Olympics someday.
“Awesome! You are an amazing skier!â·ï¸” one fan gushed.
Family is incredibly important to the Travoltas, especially after the heartbreaks they suffered over the years.
He and his wife Kelly Preston welcomed their son Jett in 1992 and Ella Bleu in 2000. While on a family vacation in 2009, Jett tragically passed away from a seizure at 16-years-old. The family went on to welcome their son Benjamin in 2010. Sadly, Kelly Preston passed away after a heroic fight with breast cancer in 2020.
Today, John Travolta and his surviving children are incredibly close. He frequently shares posts praising the children’s accomplishments, or even the three of them simply in a sweet embrace.
“Propeller One-Way Night Coach” hits Apple TV on May 29.
