Stunt performer, actor, producer, screenwriter, and “Jackass” legend Johnny Knoxville returns to television today, Thursday, May 14, to host a special two-week event called “Fear Factor: 48 Hours of Fear” on Fox.
The event is a spin-off from “Fear Factor: House of Fear,” which Knoxville, 55, also hosts.
In the special two-week series, per IMDb, “Six competitors face five extreme challenges with one crucial rule: no sleep allowed. Only one will overcome their fears to claim the grand prize and earn the right to declare, “Fear is not a factor!””
As well as “Jackass,” Knoxville â whose real name is Philip John Clapp â is famous for his roles in the likes of 2002’s “Men in Black 2,” 2004’s “Walking Tall,” 2005’s “The Dukes of Hazzard,” and 2014’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” (per IMDb).
But Knoxville is also a devoted husband and a father away from his on-screen roles. With that in mind, let’s take a look at five fast facts you need to know about his wife and kids.
His Wife Is Costume Designer Emily Ting
In a post on his Instagram account on November 16, 2025, Johnny Knoxville announced to his 4.3 million followers that he had married Emily Ting. The ceremony was officiated by filmmaker John Waters.
Per Knox News, Ting is “a highly esteemed Los Angeles-based costume designer for television shows and movies.”
Her IMDb account confirms she’s worked on the likes of the 2019 rom-com short “The Do It Up Date,” the 2021 road comedy movie “Bad Trip,” and television series “Fear Factor: House of Fear,” which is hosted by her husband.
He Has Two Daughters and a Son
Per People, Johnny Knoxville is a proud father of two daughters and one son.
His first daughter, Madison Clapp, was born on January 4, 1996, making her 30 years old. Her mother is Knoxville’s first wife, Melanie Cates.

Madison Is Following In Her Dad’s Footsteps
GettyPer IMDb, Knoxville’s oldest daughter, Madison, is following in his footsteps with a career in the entertainment business. Specifically, she is a writer, actress, and producer.
Her writing credits include coming up with concepts for some of the “Jackass” movies, her production credits include working as assistant producer in the 2024 sports comedy-drama “Sweet Dreams” (which Knoxville starred in), and her acting credits include a small role in the Academy Award-winning 2006 period drama movie “Marie Antoinette.”
She also once posted on Instagram about assisting in the art department for a music video by the band Topaz.
Madison Regularly Posts About Her Dad on Social Media
As proud as Johnny Knoxville is of his children, Madison Clapp seems just as proud to have him as a father. She regularly posts about him on her Instagram account to her 5,000+ followers.
For example, she posted about his wedding day, wishing him a Happy Father’s Day, and a picture of Knoxville with her dog.

Rocko and Arlo Have Their Dad’s Personality Traits
GettyJohnny Knoxville has spoken about how his two youngest children, Rocko and Arlo, have inherited some of his personality traits.
Per People, when Knoxville was on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” speaking to guest host Jay Leno, he revealed Rocko had inherited “the Jackass gene.”
Knoxville said, “Luckily my daughters, that gene didn’t get passed down to them. You know, girls are just smarter than boys and I don’t have to worry about them. But my son is just like my father. So he’s got this funny look in his eye so yeah, I have to worry about Rocko.”
Arlo, however, appears to have inherited Knoxville’s silliness gene. In a 2024 Instagram post, Knoxville posted two images of himself after Arlo and her friend had given him a hilarious makeover with a platinum blonde wig, lipstick, and makeup.
Knoxville said that, when they give him makeovers, “Usually they make me take them out in public afterwards.” Now that’s funny.
