Katie Price’s fans have caught her husband Lee Andrews ‘in a lie’ after he promised he’s on his way to the UK.
The reality star, 47, was forced to make a solo appearance on Tuesday’s Good Morning Britain after her new businessman husband missed his flight from Dubai to the UK.
It’s been rumoured since the beginning of their whirlwind romance that Lee, who was born in the UK, is banned from leaving Dubai, where he’s lived for 21 years.
Katie was quizzed on Lee’s travel status after he skipped the scheduled joint interview by hosts Ed Balls and Susanna Reid, who revealed that GMB had contacted the UK Foreign Office who said a man had been detained at the airport.
Lee, 42, is now facing claims that he never left Dubai to board a flight to the UK, as both he and Katie have claimed, with fans spotting signs that he’s not in Muscat, Oman as previously suggested.
Lee shared a social media video telling fans: ‘Hi guys. I didn’t make Good Morning Britain. I had a couple of other things going on. I am not detained, I am in the airport in Muscat, Oman.’
But comparison images from Lee’s filming spot showed that he was not in Muscat, with sleuths noticing the ceiling design of the airport is the exact same to Dubai.
Fans also suggested he hadn’t gone through security yet and was standing in a communal area in front of the check-in desk.
Lee posted another story after Katie’s interview claiming that he was on the way to see his wife in the UK.
He said: ‘Hello everyone, yes, I’m at the airport and I’m flying to my wife, who did very well on Good Morning Britain today.
‘I’m on my way to her. I had a couple of things that I had to do last-minute, couldn’t make the show, I was hoping to get on there over the Zoom link, but they let Katie carry on, and she did fantastic.
‘So yeah, no one was detained, I don’t know where that came from. There’s obviously a lot of police around the airport, cameras, everything, definitely not a wanted man.
‘I can’t wait to get to my wife, I’m really looking forward to seeing you Katie, I love you so much, I’m on my way to you, and sorry it got delayed. I couldn’t make the show, guys, it would’ve been great.
‘But hopefully we will be on the sofa soon. Anyway, I love you all, keep it real all of you, and don’t listen to any noise. I’m definitely not someone who has been detained. And I’m definitely not someone that’s wanted, there you go.’
Lee’s alleged travel ban would also mean that he would not be allowed to leave Dubai and enter Oman.
Katie was quizzed on Lee’s absence by the ITV hosts, who she told: ‘He just didn’t make the flight. He’s coming over here to spend quite a few months now so he’s been sorting out my visa, my international driving license and he was flying from Muscat.’
She claimed he ‘had things to do’ and ‘missed the flight, cause obviously all his business stuff is there.’
‘He’s at the airport now,’ she reiterated.
The couple’s relationship has been met with concern after they said ‘I do’ just days after meeting. Lee has also faced backlash for heavily edited and AI-generated images of himself on Instagram, and for his exaggerated CV which claims he’s a doctor.
He was also accused of being a ‘toxic and horrible’ person by his former partner, Alana Percival, who has branded him a conman.
