Katie Price’s Dubai reunion with Lee Andrews appears not to have gone quite to plan as she contemplates leaving her husband of five months.
The former glamour model, 48, was spotted looking utterly fed up as she sat with her head in her hands in a bikini on a sun lounger.
After jetting off from Gatwick Airport earlier this week, she flew out to Dubai to be reunited with her entrepreneur husband, who is reportedly in jail.
Lee, in his 40s, vanished from her life last month, with a baffled Katie telling the world he had been kidnapped and tied up in a van.
Eventually, the star-crossed lovers were put in touch by his dad, with Lee claiming he had been arrested on suspicion of espionage and was being held in Al Awir prison.
He is thought to still be in jail, awaiting someone to pay up the reported £100,000 so he can be freed. A responsibility that, despite his alleged fortune, seems to be falling on Katie’s shoulders.
Now, Katie is said to be considering leaving Lee entirely, having realised he’s not the billionaire entrepreneur she thought he was and is actually just a ‘chancer’.
A source told the Daily Mail: ‘Katie is in pieces. To the outside world, she wants to keep up the bravado. But inside, she can’t believe how Lee has made her look.
‘He’s pulled the wool over lots of people’s eyes – especially women. And now, as it’s all being played out in the public eye, she’s at the forefront of the con.’
They claimed the amount needed to free Lee could end up being closer to £150,000, which he is unlikely to be able to pay without Katie’s help.
It’s been confirmed that he is banged up inAl Awir jail, where he reportedly spent three months last year for suspected fraud, having forged an ex-girlfriend’s signature to take out a £200,000 mortgage in her name.
As someone who was previously bankrupt, it’s uncertain whether the TV personality would even be able to provide that much financial support.
The insider added: ‘The last place you would want to be locked up is in Dubai. Katie is so confused, but ultimately, it looks like she will be heading to the divorce court once again.’
Previously, Lee’s ex, Alana Percival, questioned whether the pair were legally married at all, as her access to him appeared to be limited for a spouse.
Katie has been keeping fans updated since flying out, admitting she’s exhausted by all the drama.
On Thursday, she revealed she had spoken to Lee on the phone once again and said: ‘I’m absolutely knackered, it’s the second morning because I spoke to Lee yesterday and he wants me to go to the Al Awir prison because he’s given me permission to get all his phones, his belongings.
‘So I’m going there now. I still need to hear back from his lawyer if I can get a visit to see him.’
She did add that ‘time is running out’ as she planned to fly back to the UK on Friday (today), reportedly concerned she was spending too much time away from her kids.
Last month, after getting her Instagram back, Katie posted a happy birthday message to her son Harvey, who turned 24.
She also shared a video in the car with Junior and Princess, seemingly unfazed by the latest Lee twist and happy to be spending time with the kids.
The family day out comes after reports they filmed scenes together on Friday for Princess’ reality series The Princess Diaries’ third season – despite reports of previously being ‘banned’ due to her feud with Princess’ dad, Peter Andre.
None of her kids or her other family members have ever met Lee, partly because she always flew over to see him amid rumours he was not able to leave Dubai.
