Amazon Prime Video’s hugely popular series Last One Laughing is heading back to our screens – and it’s a lot sooner than you might think.
Hosted by Jimmy Carr and his deputy Roisin Conaty, a group of comedians face-off for six hours while seeing who can go the longest without laughing.
Series two saw the likes of Celebrity Traitors victor Alan Carr, returning champ Bob Mortimer, Motherland star Diane Morgan and the underdog contender Sam Campbell battle against each other for the title.
But reigning supreme was none other than Peep Show’s David Mitchell, who was in the final two with Sam.
However, in a twist to the show’s format, a Halloween special will be premiering on Prime Video later this year.
But this time around, a devilish new rule has been put in place alongside laughing or smiling being strictly prohibited.

For this special alone, the show’s creators have decided that contestants will also receive yellow and red cards for screaming.
While details are being kept under wraps about what this latest instalment will entail, the new rule means there are bound to be some jump scare moments.
In addition to this Halloween edition, a third regular series of Last One Laughing UK will be launching on the streaming platform in 2027.
This comes after fans slammed the ending of series two after they spotted what appeared to be a sneaky smile from the eventual winner David.
After neither David or Sam laughed, the winner was eventually decided by counting who had made the most people chuckle throughout the entire series.
But, fans claimed that Sam should have been holding the trophy after seeming to spot more than one occasion when David visibly smiled.
With speculation rife over who will feature in the upcoming special and next regular series, Metro readers had their say on who they want to take part.
Karl Pinklington, Taskmaster’s Alex Horne and Ricky Gervais were three of the most popular names to be mentioned.
Alongside them, Bill Bailey and Sarah Millican have also received calls to be included.
It also remains to be seen whether David, like the returning champion Bob, will feature again to defend his title.
On Reddit, Pepys-a-Doodlebugs wrote: ‘I hope they do winner stays on again and we get Lee Mack in the next series as he would really go after David and I’d love to see it.’
Last One Laughing seasons 1 and 2 are available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.
