Michelle Obama Reveals Why She Could Never Be on ‘Real Housewives’

<p id=”par-1_11″>Michelle Obama is not interested in being part of the drama. </p>

<p id=”par-2_64″>The <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/michelle-obama-pens-a-heartfelt-post-about-the-past-decade.html/”>former First Lady</a> has made no secret of her love for reality TV, having admitted to binging on everything from <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/vh1-love-hip-hop-final-chapter.html/”><em>Love & Hip Hop</em></a><em> </em>to HGTV’s <em>House Hunters. </em>And she’s also a fan of Bravo’s <em>Real Housewives </em>franchise. But even though Obama has been in the public eye for years, she doesn’t think she could handle the pressure of being a Housewife herself. </p>

<p id=”par-3_25″>Obama was recently a guest on the <a href=”https://youtu.be/beBmroOt6U8?si=hl0hJZ6-c1Re3Yq9″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”><em>Lemme Say This</em></a><em> </em>podcast. One of the hosts asked which reality TV show cast she’d like to join.</p>

<p id=”par-4_25″>“Oh my gosh,” Obama replied. “Oh, this is really hard. Um, gosh. I couldn’t do, in my opinion, I could not be a Real Housewife.”</p>

<p id=”par-5_9″>“That’s a full-time job,” one of the hosts agreed. </p>

<p id=”par-6_17″>The other host suggested that Obama could do well in a supporting role on a <em>Housewives </em>show. </p>

<p id=”par-7_27″>“You’d be a really good Friend [of the cast] in <em>Real Housewives,</em>” she said. “Where you come in, make a little mess, and then come right out.”</p>

<p id=”par-8_20″>But Obama said she thinks she’d do best sitting in Andy Cohen’s seat during the juicy and chaotic reunion episodes.  </p>

<p id=”par-9_43″>“If I’m gonna be there, I want to be there for the reunions only,” Obama said. “I have questions. I would just have questions. Like, why are we always here? Why can’t we work this stuff out? Ladies, come on now. We’re grown.”</p>

<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-former-first-lady-wants-to-join-the-traitors”>Former First Lady wants to join ‘The Traitors’ </h2>

<p id=”par-10_35″>Obama might not feel that she’s Housewife material. But the lawyer and author told co-hosts co-hosts Hunter Harris and Peyton Dix that she thinks she could thrive in a different kind of reality TV environment. </p>

<p id=”par-11_53″>“I’ve been so into <em>Traitors. </em>I’ve thought about <em>Traitors,</em>” she said of the Peacock competition series hosted by Alan Cumming.<em> </em>“I think I would want to be a Faithful … I would want to be on <em>Traitors </em>and I would want to be a Faithful. And I would want to find the Traitor.”</p>

<p id=”par-12_16″> The former FLOTUS sees herself as a Faithful. But is she really more the sneaky type? </p>

<p id=”par-13_10″>“Do you think I’m more of a Traitor?” she asked. </p>

<p id=”par-14_47″>It’s not a huge surprise that Obama is keeping up with the latest must-watch reality series. She’s previously referred to unscripted TV as a “sociological study” said that she has to “educate” her skeptical husband and her brother, Craig Robinson, about the latest developments in the Bravoverse. </p>

<p id=”par-15_48″>“The truth is that they razz me about my love of reality TV and the <em>Real Housewives</em>” she said of the former POTUS and her siblings in a 2025 episode of her podcast, <a href=”https://people.com/michelle-obama-breaks-down-her-favorite-bravo-shows-i-watch-it-all-11783755″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”><em>IMO With Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson</em></a>. “I watch it all — all of it.”  </p>
