<p id=”par-2_20″>On Wednesday, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/when-calls-the-heart-erin-krakow-expecting-baby-ben-rosenbaum.html/”>Erin Krakow and her husband Ben Rosenbaum</a> announced that they had welcomed their first child in April 2026. </p>

<p id=”par-3_37″>“Our precious new family member entered the world in early April,” the couple told <a href=”https://people.com/erin-krakow-and-ben-rosenbaum-welcome-a-baby-girl-exclusive-12005343″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a> via email. “Our daughter has been the greatest gift, and we are loving getting to know her better with each passing day.”</p>
<p id=”par-4_32″>The pair, who are co-stars on the Hallmark Channel series, said that they were “loving” their new role as parents, though they admitted they were feeling “a bit more tired” than usual. </p>
<p id=”par-5_46″>Krakow stars as Elizabeth Thornton in the long-running period drama. (Season 14 will premiere in 2027.) She told People that the years she spent acting with babies on set prepped her for motherhood. Meanwhile, Rosenbaum, who plays the occasionally hapless Mike Hickam, had even better training. </p>
<p id=”par-6_46″>“Ben has gotten covered in oil, disaster makeup, or some other messy situation just about every season of <em>When Calls the Heart </em>— which has probably been the best prep of all,” they shared. “It’s really true that you can never have too many burp cloths!”</p>

<p id=”par-7_66″>Krakow and Rosenbaum aren’t the only <em>When Calls the Heart </em>stars with a new little one. Also on Wednesday, Chris McNally confirmed that he has his partner, Julie Gonzalo, had welcomed their second child, a girl. McNally plays Lucas Bouchard on <em>When Call the Heart. </em>He and Gonzalo met in 2017 while co-starring in a Hallmark Channel movie. Their first child was born in June 2022. </p>
<p id=”par-8_17″>“We are so incredibly grateful to have this new little girl in our family,” they told <a href=”https://people.com/julie-gonzalo-and-chris-mcnally-welcome-a-baby-girl-exclusive-12006314″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-9_60″>“Our first few weeks were a bit of a blur,” the couple added. “Lots of love, very little sleep, and a healthy dose of stress. We seem to have forgotten how small newborns are — it seems impossible our oldest was ever that tiny! There have been plenty of family snuggles, though, which helped make the exhaustion easier to handle.”</p>
<p id=”par-10_48″>So far, 2026 has been a big year for babies on <em>When Calls the Heart. </em>On Mother’s Day, Kevin McGarry (who plays Nathan Grant) and his wife, Kayla Wallace (who played Fiona Miller on the show before joining the <em>Landman </em>cast) revealed that they’d welcomed their first child. </p>
<p id=”par-11_24″>McNally and Gonzalo told People that it was “incredibly special” to have so many co-stars sharing such a similar experience at the same time.</p>
<p id=”par-12_65″>“Having three babies arrive in such a short period of time among friends on the same show is not something we could have planned,” they said. “It’s been really nice having people close to you going through the same stage of life at the same time — but if we all look tired in the next season of <em>When Calls the Heart</em>, you know why!”</p>
