Actress and filmmaker Olivia Wilde has broken her silence on concerns over her recent appearance during a red carpet interview.
The beautiful Wilde, 42, was the subject of worry and harsh criticism following the opening night screening of her new film “The Invite,” which she both directs and stars in. The event occurred at the San Francisco International Film Festival on April 24. She appeared to be noticeably thinner than she had ever looked before.
However, the star of movies like 2010’s “Tron: Legacy” and 2011’s “The Lazarus Effect,” who also starred in and directed the likes of 2022’s “Don’t Worry Darling,” has moved to address the negative reactions to her look.
In doing so, Wilde reassured her fans there is nothing to worry about.

Per E! News, Olivia Wilde posted a video story to her four million followers on her Instagram account in which she addressed the concerns about her appearance on April 24.
Some harsh individuals had suggested Wilde looked sick, with others even noting a resemblance to “The Lord of the Rings” character Gollum.
In her video story, Wilde is hanging out with her brother, Charles Cockburn, talking about the topic of her recent red carpet look.
Cockburn jokingly asks his sister, “Do you care to address recent rumors that you’re a resurrected corpse?”
Responding with a laugh, Wilde said, “It was the fisheye lens and not the⦠I don’t know why I was so close to the camera. I didn’t have to be.” She then admitted, “It’s startling, it’s a startling image.”
She concluded by saying, “That’s not the truth” and “I’m not dead.”
The star overlayed the video with text that read, “Leave it to your little brother to give you the maximum amount of [expletive].”
Wilde’s story also included a photograph of her from the interview, alongside a picture of Gollum, proving she’s taking the negative reaction to her look with humor.

In Olivia Wilde’s most recent Instagram post, which features 12 images â several of which are of her â she looks the very picture of health.

The comedy movie â which, to reiterate, she both directs and stars in â is scheduled for a limited theatrical release in the United States on June 26.
