While he didn’t go in depth, he affirmed his support for her and recalled a time that he called <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/britney-spears-dad-jamie-spears-job.html/”>her father, Jamie Spears</a>, a “d***head.” </p>

<p id=”par-3_21″>Asghari has long been critical of his former father-in-law. In 2021, he said that he was trying to control their relationship.</p>
<p id=”par-4_70″>“Now it’s important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way,” Asghari wrote on Instagram. “In my opinion, Jamie is a total d***. I won’t be going into details because I’ve always respected our privacy but at the same time I didn’t come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom.”</p>

<p id=”par-8_35″>“[Spears] sort of created a blueprint that nobody after that has ever really accomplished,” he said. “We see some artists now that are trying to do it, but it’s just not ever going to happen.”</p>
<p id=”par-9_36″>The couple divorced after just over a year of marriage. Asghari said that though they couldn’t make their marriage work, he has “always been supportive” of his ex. Still, he has moved forward from the relationship.</p>
