Now, though, Buckingham said that working on a new film has put everyone on good terms.</p>
<p id=”par-3_37″>“Fleetwood Mac has been working on a documentary,” he told <a href=”https://www.eonline.com/news/1434745/lindsey-buckingham-update-on-stevie-nicks-fleetwood-mac-drama” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>E! News</a> at Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood event. “I think the process of making that has been a very circular healing process for all of us.”</p>

<p id=”par-4_18″>Their reunion ended dramatically. After the 2018 MusiCares Gala, Nicks said she could <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/stevie-nicks-said-lindsey-buckinghams-treatment-harry-styles-partially-responsible-firing-fleetwood-mac.html/”>never work with Buckingham again</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-5_43″>“Because we had left things in 2019, maybe as far as I was concerned, not in a very good place for all the wrong reasons,” he said. “No one was happy about it, and all of that has been healed and worked out.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_18″>At the time, she wanted nothing to do with him. Now, though, they are on much better terms.</p>

<p id=”par-9_68″>“It happened one night, not planned, at a MusiCares [benefit concert]. I didn’t even tell anybody it had happened in my head until the whole ceremony was over,” Nicks told <a target=”_blank” href=”https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/stevie-nicks-fleetwood-mac-kamala-harris-new-music-1235140437/” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Rolling Stone</a>, adding, “I took with me that night a song that I had done with LeAnn Rimes called ‘Borrowed.’ I took it with me to play for him because I thought we could do this song beautifully.”</p>
<p id=”par-10_18″>Nicks felt that Buckingham disrespected her as she spoke. She wanted nothing to do with him moving forward.</p>
<p id=”par-11_77″>“That’s when he wasn’t very nice to anybody; he wasn’t very nice to Harry Styles,” she said. “I could hear my mom saying, ‘Are you really going to spend the next 15 years of your life with this man?’ I could hear my very pragmatic father — and by the way, my mom and dad liked Lindsey a lot — saying, ‘It’s time for you guys to get a divorce.’ Between those two, I said, ‘I’m done.’”</p>

<p id=”par-13_81″>“We were at some get-together and he was there, sitting, playing his guitar — [the Mamas and the Papas’ hit] ‘California Dreamin’ — and I walked up and brazenly burst into harmony with him,” Nicks told <a href=”https://www.mtv.com/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>MTV</a>. “It was cool, and I said ‘I’m Stevie Nicks,’ and he said ‘I’m Lindsey Buckingham.’ I never saw him again for two years, until he was in a band and he remembered that night and he called and asked me to join their band.”</p>
