The truth behind Katie Price’s husband Lee Andrews’ bizarre new hair

For a man who has spent the past few weeks at the centre of one of the strangest celebrity sagas of the year, Lee Andrews has somehow found a way to get people talking about something entirely different: his hair.

When Katie Price’s husband resurfaced on social media following his release from prison in Dubai, viewers expected answers about his disappearance, his incarceration, and his extraordinary claims of being held at gunpoint by armed men.

Instead, many were left wondering one thing: where did all that hair come from?

The self-styled millionaire appeared in a video assuring followers he was ‘safe and healthy’ and reunited with his wife, but social media quickly became distracted by what appeared to be a dramatically fuller and darker head of hair than the closely cropped style he had been sporting before his legal troubles.

Speculation exploded online, with some suggesting Andrews had secretly undergone a hair transplant, while others wondered whether he was wearing a wig or hairpiece.

‘What is with his hair, is it a wig?’ one person asked on Reddit, while another wrote: ‘Surely this isn’t a hair transplant – it would never have grown that much that quickly.’

Now, a fresh twist has emerged.

According to claims reported by The Sun, a representative from a Dubai-based salon called Hair Repair Club alleged Andrews recently visited the business to enquire about a permanent wig.

The salon claimed he attended a consultation but declined to proceed after being told he would need both a patch test and colour matching before treatment could go ahead.

The allegation has fuelled further speculation that the striking hairstyle seen in his video may not have been entirely real. Some observers have even suggested the appearance could have been enhanced using a digital filter, which Lee has been known to use in the past.

The mystery has become such a talking point that even Katie Price’s own sister has weighed in.

Speaking on an upcoming episode of The Katie Price Show podcast, Sophie Price gave her verdict on Andrews’ new look in typically blunt fashion.

‘No it’s not my vibe,’ she said. Katie attempted to defend her husband, suggesting that not everyone suits shorter hairstyles.

‘No, but not everyone can pull off short hair,’ she replied.

Sophie was unconvinced, branding the look a ‘ridiculous, f***ing liberty.’

The fascination with Andrews’ hair comes amid continued questions surrounding his recent legal troubles in Dubai.

Authorities previously rejected suggestions he had been detained on espionage-related grounds, instead describing the matter as a private civil dispute.

Meanwhile, fresh claims have emerged regarding alleged outstanding debts.

According to reports, Andrews is facing legal action over unpaid legal fees as well as an alleged dispute involving a luxury car rental company.

Court documents reportedly show claims that he owes approximately 266,000 dirhams – around £54,000 – to a Dubai car rental firm.

It has also been reported that Andrews sought a 14-day grace period to settle the debt.

To add to the drama, in her latest shocking claims, ex-girlfriend Alana Percival – to whom Lee proposed in identical fashion shortly before he did Katie – has revealed she was ‘isolated’ by Lee and their relationship became ‘physical’.

As a result, she fled the country, fearing for her life.

Speaking on the Crying In The DMs podcast, the fitness trainer, who connected with Lee on Facebook in early 2025, opened up about the ‘volatile’ relationship.

‘It wasn’t until the very last legs that it got physical,’ she explained, having previously claimed Lee ‘love-bombed’ her with cash transfers, Louis Vuitton handbags, and Cartier jewellery.

She recalled Lee accusing her of ‘uploading a Story on Instagram’, when she actually ‘deactivated [her] account’ because he ‘didn’t want [her] to have one anymore’, cutting her off from other people further.

‘When he searched my name on Google while I was asleep, there was a ring that came around my name, like I put a Story on. And that was actually the night that I left. The day after, I ran away,’ she said.

‘He thought I’d put up a Story, and it turned so volatile, and he was awful towards me in so many ways.

‘And I laid there almost quivering in bed, crying my eyes out all night. And all I kept on thinking is, “How am I going to run away from this?”‘

Alana revealed that, ‘luckily’, she had a pal ‘looking over’ her the next day, so when Lee went out for a few hours, she was able to pack a suitcase, book a flight, and leave before he returned.

‘I just remember ringing my friend, and it was a mess, and I said, “Please, if you’re at work, get in your car and come and help me just pack some bags. I have to leave the country, and I have to leave now. I don’t know how long I’ve got”.’

‘He frightened me that much, and I genuinely thought that potentially he could have killed me,’ she stated.

While Lee has not addressed Alana’s latest accusations, a representative for Katie told the Daily Mail: ‘There are two sides to every story.’ In the past, he has also strongly denied scamming anyone, but did eventually admit to having a ‘travel ban’.

Against that backdrop, the debate over his hair may seem trivial, but that certainly isn’t stopping people online from speculating.
