Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury have finally revealed the name of their newborn son – and it sounds like the former Love Island stars weren’t exaggerating when they warned fans to expect something unusual.
The couple announced their baby boy’s name in typically dramatic fashion on Saturday night, unveiling it on Tommy’s boxing shorts as he stepped into the ring for his highly anticipated fight against Eddie Hall.
His son’s name appeared alongside that of the couple’s three-year-old daughter Bambi, bringing weeks of speculation to an end.
The couple have named their son: Midas.
Midas originates in Greek mythology and is best known for King Midas, the ruler whose touch turned everything to gold. Today, the name is often associated with prosperity, ambition, and success.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting the reveal ever since Molly-Mae gave birth to the couple’s second child last week.
The influencer and entrepreneur initially kept both the baby’s gender and name private, only later confirming they had welcomed a son.
Now, the mystery has finally been solved, and baby Midas sure has a big name to grow into.
The reveal comes after Molly-Mae repeatedly hinted that the name would divide opinion.
In a vlog earlier this year, she admitted she was already preparing herself for criticism.
‘Also, just can’t wait for everyone to hate it,’ she joked.
‘Obviously it’s a different name – we were never going to call our baby just an ordinary name, that was never going to happen.’
She went on to explain that she’d only ever encountered one other child with the same name.
‘Whenever I see cool baby name lists on TikTok, I have never, ever, ever seen this name in any of these lists, which is just really quite original of us.’
The comments immediately sparked speculation among fans, many of whom began attempting to guess what unusual name the couple had chosen.
After all, this is the same pair who named their daughter Bambi – a choice that initially raised eyebrows before becoming synonymous with the family brand.
Tommy’s boxing shorts reveal had reportedly been planned for some time.
A source previously claimed the boxer was keen to use the fight as a way of introducing his son’s name to the world.
‘The little man’s name will be on Tommy’s shorts at his fight along with Bambi’s,’ they said.
‘Now the little fella is here it’s a no-brainer — what better way to announce his name than on his dad’s boxing shorts.’
The reveal marks another milestone for the couple, who first met on Love Island in 2019 and have spent much of the past six years sharing major life moments with millions of followers.

Since welcoming their son, Molly-Mae has spoken candidly about how different motherhood feels the second time around.
Sharing a photograph of her newborn sleeping peacefully on social media, she wrote: ‘Thank you for healing so many of my newborn fears little one.
‘The peace and happiness I feel this time around is something I wished for but didn’t know would come.
‘The difference compared to this stage with Bambi is indescribable.’
