Vanessa Feltz has become the latest presenter to announce her departure from TalkTV, after Piers Morgan’s shock exit earlier this year.

The Uncensored host, 59, announced he was leaving the channel in February after two years, to focus on his YouTube channel.

He said he no longer wanted to be a ‘slave to the schedule’ and wanted to remove the ‘unnecessary straitjacket’ of TV.

And now This Morning star Vanessa, 62, is taking a ‘step back’, as TalkTV prepares to be taken off air and move online in the summer.

She said: ‘I’ve had the most fabulous two years at TalkTV.

‘It’s been a joy and a revelation to work on a fledgling station.

‘Among many experiences, it was my honour to break the news of the passing of Her Majesty, the Queen to viewers and broadcast live throughout that momentous time.

‘As TalkTV steps back from linear TV, it’s time for me to also step back and focus on my other commitments and new projects ahead.’

Scott Taunton, EVP President of Broadcast for News UK, added in the statement: ‘Vanessa is a unique broadcaster and has made a unique contribution to TalkTV over the last two years. She steps back with our thanks and best wishes.’

Vanessa’s drivetime slot will be hosted by Jeremy Kyle for four days a week, while The Talk with Sharon Osbourne appears to be amongst shows missing from the spring schedule.

As well as reporting on the late Queen’s death, Vanessa also reacted live to her former ITV co-star Phillip Schofield’s resignation after his scandal broke, and apologised on her TalkTV programme after outrage over her comments about coeliac disease.

The TV presenter was seen just yesterday at a screening in London for Anne Hathaway-starring romcom The Idea of You.

With a grin on her face, she looked stunning in a purple gown and sparkly shoes as she twirled in front of cameras.

Her TalkTV exit comes after Celebs Go Dating star Vanessa quit her BBC Radio 2 and Radio London shows in 2022.

She presented the Breakfast Show, which aired on both stations, having fronted Radio London for nearly two decades, and announced her departure while fighting back tears on air.

Following Ken Bruce’s departure from his radio show last year, Vanessa spoke about her own exit, saying she felt a sense of ageism while at the BBC.

‘Think of all the people that have left,’ she continued, listing the ‘stellar list of biggest stars with the hugest ratings who have walked away.’

‘Why would you do that from something that is so successful?’
