WWE fans, are you ready? WrestleMania 42 is upon us.
For the second year in a row, the biggest event of the year for wrestling fans around the world takes over Las Vegas.with a double header at the Allegiant Stadium, with some blockbuster matches set for Sin City.
The Road to WrestleMania hasn’t been a totally smooth one, with Cody Rhodes publicly criticising the way Pat McAfee has been inserted into the American Nightmare’s dream rivalry with Randy Orton.
Despite the occasional misstep, it’s hard to argue with the quality of matches from top to bottom this weekend, with championships on the line, grudge matches set to boil over, and celebrities stepping between the ropes.

Has Pat McAfee really ruined WWE WrestleMania?
Metro’s WWE expert Alistair McGeorge breaks down Pat McAfee’s impact on the Road to WrestleMania.
There has been a lot said and written about the decision to shoehorn Pat McAfee into the build to Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes’ world championship match this weekend.
The grudge match is 20 years in the making, with so much history, and fans are right to be baffled by Pat being forced into the mix, complete with a heel turn, criticising ticket sales, and dominating a dream feud.
No, it’s not ideal, but there are ways around it to limit his involvement in the actual match, and one more SmackDown tonight to put the focus on the right stuff.
Beyond Orton/Cody, there’s plenty to get excited about, too, and the build to WrestleMania isn’t nearly as bad as some people would have you think.
Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar have dominated the headlines too with their explosive rivalry, as have CM Punk and Roman Reigns, while the championship bouts (especially the Ladder Match) could all steal the show, and GUNTHER vs. Seth Rollins could be Match of the Year.
The celebrity involvement isn’t quite as egregious as some have said, either. Yes, Pat’s heavily involved, but IShowSpeed will do just fine in his match (he’s had training at the PC), while Jelly Roll has shown himself to be a solid hand who genuinely cares.
When all’s said and done, this could emerge as one of the strongest WrestleManias from top to bottom in recent memory.
What is Club WWE?
Earlier this week, WWE announced Club WWE, which they’ve described as ‘the ultimate insider membership programme’ offering ‘exclusive access, rewards and experiences’.
Gold members (which will cost an annual membership fee) can get a range of ‘premium benefits’, ranging from exclusive 24-hour presales, ‘tailored perks’ at certain events (meet and greets, entrances etc), exclusive members-only WWE Shop merch and early access to certain collections, bonus content (‘inside scoops’, behind the scenes footage etc), a members-only forum, and a ‘points-based rewards system’ to redeem against digital and physical items.
Fans can join the waitlist to be a founding member via WWE.com/ClubWWE.
John Cena, who is heavily involved in the project, said: ‘Our fans are the heartbeat of WWE, and everything we do begins with them.
‘Club WWE is about bringing that connection to life in a bigger way – through exclusive access, unique experiences and a true sense of community.’
