A 16-year-old girl is recovering after someone shot her in the left foot early Wednesday in the city’s South Deering neighborhood on the Far South Side.
The girl, who was in good condition, could not provide much detail except that it happened around 12:35 a.m., in the 10600 block of South Bensley Avenue, police said.
She was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where she was in good condition, police said.
No arrests were made and Area 2 detectives were investigating.
