Two people were hurt in a four-vehicle crash involving an ambulance late Thursday on Interstate 57 in south suburban Calumet Park.
The crash happened around 11:05 p.m. and involved an ambulance, a pickup truck and two passenger cars, Illinois state police said.
Two people were taken to area hospitals with injuries and their conditions weren’t immediately known, state police said.
ABC 7 reported one of the injured was a child who was in the ambulance at the time of the crash.
Inbound lanes of I-57 were shut down for an investigation and reopened just before 3 a.m., according to state police.
