A fight between two men erupted into a shootout that left both critically hurt early Thursday in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood.
The men, 39 and 33, began fighting at the home in the 1500 block of West 77th Street when they both opened fire, Chicago police said.
The older man was shot in the buttocks and the 33-year-old suffered multiple shots to his body, police said.
Both were taken to the Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where they were listed in critical conditions, officials said.
Two guns were recovered at the scene.
Area 2 detectives were investigating.
