Three people died in a crash caused by a driver traveling the wrong way down I-88 in Aurora early Sunday.
The crash happened just after 4 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-88 at milepost 112.25, according to Illinois State Police.
A driver, alone in their car, drove the wrong way on the interstate and collided head-on into a car with two people traveling the correct direction.
All three people died, state police said. Their names have not been released.
All lanes of I-88 were closed but have since re-opened.
