No one was hurt when an American Airlines flight from Miami got two flat tires after landing Tuesday night at O’Hare International Airport.
Flight 791, a Boeing 737, landed safely around 10:30 p.m. and passengers were deplaned on the taxiway and bused to the terminal after “experiencing a tire issue while taxing to the gate”, according to the Federal Aviation Administration and American Airlines. The flight was bound for Chicago.
The aircraft was taken out of service to be inspected by their maintenance team, American Airlines said in a statement.
“We appreciate the professionalism of our team and we apologize to our customers for their experience,” the airline said in a statement.
Chicago police responded to O’Hare and reported no injuries.
The FAA is investigating.
