Armed robbers fatally shot a man at a gas station after robbing it early Tuesday on the Southwest Side.
Around 2:50 a.m., at least one gunman entered the Thorntons, 3450 S. California Ave, and took money, Chicago police said.
While fleeing with cash, one of the robbers opened fire, fatally striking a 36-year-old man multiple times in the body, police said.
The man, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. His name was not released.
No arrests were made.
Area 1 detectives were investigating.
