Chicago police are alerting the public about multiple armed robberies that occurred in Bronzeville and Lake Meadows this month.
In each of the area’s robberies, police said one to three assailants are believed to have approached victims at night, armed with guns and demanding their mobile phones.
Police in a news bulletin indicated the suspects ordered victims to unlock their phones before taking the devices and fleeing the scene on foot.
The areas where the reported robberies happened include:
- 400 block of East 32nd Street on Aug. 6 at 10:15 p.m.
- 400 block of East 32nd Street on Aug. 14 at 11:45 p.m.
- 3000 block of South State Street on Aug. 14 at 11:45 p.m.
Police described the suspects as three men and one woman, all wearing hooded sweatshirts.
Area residents are urged to remain aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity immediately, police said.
