The driver of a car that hit and killed a woman riding a motorcycle was arrested after the crash late Wednesday on DuSable Lake Shore Drive.
Charges are pending against the 25-year-old driver, but had not been announced as of early Thursday.
Both vehicles were southbound at the time of the collision, which occurred about 11:30 p.m. in the 400 block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive.
The motorcyclist, a 49-year-old woman, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she died, police said. Her name has not been released.
