The Bears‘ first injury report of the week doesn’t bode well for Kyle Monangai’s return Monday.
The running back was the only player that would have practiced Thursday had the Bears held one. Instead, they issued an estimated participation report, the first of Seahawks week. They’ll hold a full practice Friday and Saturday.
Monangai suffered a turf toe injury against the Jets in Week 4 and hasn’t played since.
Linebacker D’Marco Jackson, who had an interception in the end zone against the Patriots last week, would have been limited with an ankle injury and rookie cornerback Malik Muhammad would have been limited with a toe problem. Linebackers T.J. Edwards (hamstring) and Jack Sanborn (concussion) would have been full participants, laying out a path for them to play Monday night.
Also Thursday, the Bears cut defensive end Jamree Kromah and signed cornerback Josh Butler, who played for defensive backs coach Al Harris, to the practice squad.
