Dodgers’ Will Klein has surgery to remove bone chips from elbow

LOS ANGELES — Dodgers relief pitcher Will Klein had surgery on Wednesday to remove bone chips from his pitching elbow and address a bone spur.

Klein pitched with the loose bodies in his right elbow for some time this season before going on the injured list in early August. He tried to continue a throwing program to return but didn’t pitch again this season.

Klein is expected to be ready for the start of spring training.

The 26-year-old Klein was a hero of the 2025 postseason when he pitched a professional career-high four innings in the Dodgers’ 18-inning victory in Game 3 of the World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Acquired from the Seattle Mariners in a minor-league trade in June 2025, Klein made a career-high 36 appearances in 2026 before his injury. He had a 3-4 record, two saves and a 3.67 ERA with 49 strikeouts in 41⅔ innings.
