First picture of girl,16, left to die in the road after ‘hit-and-run’
A teenage girl left to die in the road after being struck by a car has been pictured for the first time.
Nadia Mucha, aged 16, was found lying in the road on Rooks Nest Road, Wakefield at around 8.33pm on Tuesday 29 September.
She was taken to hospital where she sadly died four days later.
Following enquiries made by the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, a 25-year-old man was arrested yesterday morning (5 October) on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

Officers from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are still appealing for any information.
DCI Elly Buchanan, of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said: ‘We are continuing to support Nadia’s family through this horrific time and are working at pace to find them the answers they deserve.
‘Our investigation is still ongoing and we urge anyone with any information to come forward and speak with us so that we can bring justice for Nadia’s family.’
