A man was left in critical condition after a Humboldt Park shooting Friday evening.
A 31-year-old man was inside a business in the 4400 block of West Cortez Street at about 7:20 p.m. when he was approached and then shot by an “unknown offender,” police said.
The man was hit in the chest and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, reportedly in critical condition.
A person of interest in the case was taken into questioning, and a handgun was found at the scene, police said.
Area detectives are investigating.
