Five metro Denver schools remain closed due to power outages following windstorm

Several schools in Jefferson County have announced closures for Tuesday, April 9, due to lingering Xcel Energy power outages following the weekend windstorm.

And additional school closures and government office closures will be updated throughout the day.

Notably, Boulder Valley School District is open on Tuesday, including Coal Creek Elementary, Gold Hill Elementary, Jamestown Elementary, Nederland Elementary, Nederland Middle-Senior High School and Platt Middle School.
