In-season tourney schedule is out and NBA Cup could runneth over Bulls

While the NBA was expected to announce the full team schedules on Thursday, they continued leaving breadcrumbs 24 hours earlier, releasing the in-season NBA Cup slate for 2026.

The Bulls already knew what the pool was – facing Atlanta, Washington, Boston and Charlotte in the Eastern Conference Group C – and now they know the when and where.

The team will host two Motorola Razr Cup Nights on Nov. 13 against the Hawks and Nov. 20 against the Wizards at the United Center, and will play the Celtics in Boston on Oct. 30 before travelling south to Charlotte to face the Hornets on Nov. 25.

Unfortunately for the new-look Bulls they will likely be the underdog in all four games.

Washington finished with an NBA-worst 17-65 record last season but are expected to take a huge leap with All-Stars Trae Young and Anthony Davis – both acquired last season – healthy and available to go along with No.1 pick AJ Dybantsa and a handful of other talented young players like Alex Sarr, Will Riley and Kyshawn George,

The Hornets added Naz Reid in a trade and Hannes Steinbach in the draft to join former Bull Coby White and talented lottery picks like Kon Knueppel and Brandon Miller.

Meanwhile, Atlanta and Boston are both eyeing playoff runs with enough talent to be top five teams in the conference.

Following group play, the tournament will move to knockout rounds for the remaining eight teams (three group winners and one wildcard from each conference) with the championship game played on Dec. 11 at the Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
