A shooting on the Far South Side early Monday has left a 57-year-old man dead.
The shooting happened at 4:15 a.m. in the 9900 block of South State Street, Chicago police said.
The victim, an unidentified 57-year-old man, was taken to Advocate Christ Center in Oak Lawn, initially in critical condition, but he was pronounced dead there, according to police.
No arrests have been made.
Area 2 detectives are investigating.
