As the Los Angeles Dodgers take a shot a another World Series tittle, star player Mookie Betts wants you to take a different kind of shot.
The Dodgers’ starting shortstop has his own tequila brand, dubbed Tequila Providencia, and it’s now available at all Vallarta Supermarket locations across California.
The lineup for Tequila Providencia includes a Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, and Extra Añejo. According to the Providencia website, Blanco has a minty sensation with hints of light black pepper and a light touch of cinnamon. The Reposado meanwhile has more of a dry flavor with a light touch of cinnamon and oak plus peach and honey, cloves and pepper flavors.
The Añejo is for the more experienced drinkers with tastes of oak, a light touch of vanilla and chocolate, while the Extra Añejo will hit you with a touch of cinnamon, vanilla and toffee melding with the agave.
“This isn’t just something I put my name on. It’s something I believe in,” Betts says on the company’s website. “A tequila that respects tradition — but feels like now.”
