A 20-year-old Des Plaines man died after his motorcycle collided with a Subaru SUV on Saturday night in Mount Prospect.
Police said an officer discovered the wreck on Rand Road near Henry Street at about 10:01 p.m. The officer found the motorcycle driver, later identified as Scotty J. Stuck, southeast of the intersection with serious injuries, according to Mount Prospect police.
Stuck was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge by the Mount Prospect Fire Department, where he was pronounced dead at 11:53 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
A 33-year-old Mount Prospect man driving the SUV and was not injured as a result of the crash, police said.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash and police ask that anyone with information regarding the collision contact the department’s Major Crash Investigation Team at 847-818-5301.
