As wind gusts sweep across the state, over 500 flights were delayed or canceled Monday at Denver International Airport.
As of 8:30 a.m., 518 Monday flights were delayed at DIA and 21 were canceled, according to flight tracking data from FlightAware. On average, inbound flights were delayed at their origin for over an hour and outbound flights were delayed by a little less than 20 minutes.
Between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. Monday, 47 flights were delayed and 3 were canceled because of high wind. Affected airlines include United, Southwest, American and Alaska Airlines, according to flight status data from DIA.

Winds gusts are expected to reach up to 45 mph Monday at DIA, forecasters at the National Weather Service say. High winds are expected to last through Tuesday night, with gusts up to 49 mph.
