Pensioner gets egg-inspired hairdo as she cuts rainbow Mohawk to resemble a Cadbury’s Creme Egg

A PENSIONER became a true egghead as she had her hair dyed like a Cadbury’s Creme Egg.

Sylvia Homewood rocked the egg-centric purple, yellow, red and pink hairdo which took 90 minutes to apply using specialist paint.

She opted for a rainbow Mohawk on top of her head to match the Easter egg-inspired masterpiece.

The new barnet — one of over 100 designs by barber Colin Watkins — will last for around six weeks.

Sylvia, 88, from Shepperton, Surrey, joked: “If you want to get ahead, get a Cadbury’s egg.”

Barber Colin, 64, said the design was one of his most difficult designs.

He added: “Sylvia wanted something special for Easter and I suggested a Cadbury’s Creme Egg.

“It was a great challenge and I thought I’d go for it.

“We’re very happy with the results. She’s been out and only got good feedback.”

The pensioner has previously had tartan painted on her hair and Van Gogh’s Starry Night artwork.

The hairdresser, who runs Studio 2000 in Shepperton, added: “The head is a great place. I treat it as a canvas. When you have various sized heads you can do different designs on them.

“I’m going to keep pushing the boundaries.”
