Many happy returns are in order for Prince Louis today.
The third child of Prince William and Princess Kate turns eight and the big day was marked with a sweet new portrait of the young prince smiling on the Cornish coast.
Despite it being a big day for celebrations, Louis, who was born on April 23,2018, at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, will be at school for most of it.
Dad William is expected to travel to Oxfordshire to visit the British Formula E team headquarters.

Several other Royal Family members are looking forward to celebrating their own big day soon.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla
King Charles III, 77, celebrates his birthday on November 14 and was born in 1948.
His wife, Queen Camilla, was born on July 17, 1947 and is currently 78 years old.
Princess Anne, Andrew, and Prince Edward
The King is the eldest of the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip’s four children.
Anne, The Princess Royal is 75 years old and was born on August 15, 1950.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was born on February 19, 1960, almost a full 10 years after Anne, making him 66 years old.
The late Queen and Prince Philip’s youngest, Prince Edward, The Duke of Edinburgh, 62, celebrates his birthday on March 10 and was born in 1964.
Princess Anne has two children with her ex-husband, Mark Phillips. They are Peter Phillips (born 1977) who is 48 but will turn 49 on November 15, and 44-year-old Zara Tindall (born May 15, 1981).

The oldest is Prince Edward, The Duke of Kent, who is currently 90 years of age. His wife, Katharine, the Duchess of Kent, passed away in September 2025, aged 92.
