A San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department detective was hospitalized after being shot during an investigation in Palmdale on Wednesday, Aug. 5, authorities said.
The detective was shot near Avenue R and 130th Street East, the Sheriff’s Department said in a Facebook post around 4:30 p.m.
The investigation was ongoing.
Officials did not immediately share additional information, including details on the detective’s condition or what led up to the shooting.
