Six Flags Magic Mountain plans to embark on an ambitious multiyear investment plan billed as one of the most significant transformations in the park’s 55-year history that will add new roller coasters, attractions and entertainment.
Six Flags will announce a vision plan in early 2027 that promises to transform the Valencia amusement park into a world class entertainment destination, according to Magic Mountain President Brian Oerding.
“This is one of the largest transformations ever undertaken in the park’s history,” Oerding said in a statement. “It’s about preserving what makes Magic Mountain iconic, while elevating the guest experience.”

Six Flags hopes the multiyear investment will help boost attendance at the Los Angeles-area park, which lags behind four other locations in the chain despite sitting in the second-largest metropolitan area in the United States.
“Our vision for Magic Mountain includes new attractions, more family experiences, enhanced entertainment and seasonal events, park beautification, new guest amenities and meaningful infrastructure improvements throughout the property,” Oerding said in a statement.

Parts of the ambitious multi-year plan have already been revealed with the addition of the first-of-its-kind Thrill Glider coaster debuting in 2027 and the relocated ArieForce One coaster planned for 2028.
Six Flags bought ArieForce One in August from the shuttered Fun Spot America amusement park in Georgia.

ArieForce One will become the third ride built by Rocky Mountain Coasters at Magic Mountain — joining the 2022 Wonder Woman Flight of Courage single rail coaster and the 2015 conversion of the Colossus wooden coaster into the Twisted Colossus hybrid mobius coaster.
Thrill Glider will combine flying, motorbike and suspended coaster technologies into a world’s first ride custom-built for Magic Mountain by Dutch ridemaker Vekoma.

Thrill Glider is under construction on the former hillside location of the Showcase Theater while ArieForce One has begun arriving at Magic Mountain via big rig flatbed trucks.
“The future of Magic Mountain is far bigger than what may be arriving on trucks this week,” Oerding said in a statement. “What guests are seeing is just the beginning of one of the most significant transformations in the park’s history.”

The addition of ArieForce One and Thrill Glider along with the recently reimagined Looney Tunes Land and refreshed Hurricane Harbor water park are part of a larger evolution underway at Magic Mountain, according to Oerding.
“Those projects are just the beginning,” Oerding said in a statement. “At Six Flags Magic Mountain, we’re building toward something much bigger than any single attraction.”
