Illinois State Police are asking for the public’s help after a person was fatally struck in a hit-and-run early Friday on Interstate 94.
State police said the victim was standing in front of a red Jeep SUV along I-94 at 47th Street at 2:39 a.m. Friday, when they were struck by a vehicle.
The Jeep was in the center lane, and its driver was outside the vehicle when the person was hit.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam video is asked to contact Illinois State Police Zone 1 at 847-294-4400 or ISP.CrimeTips@Illinois.gov.
Witnesses can remain anonymous, police said.
