More than 40 people joined the stampede at a hotel in Salou, just south of Tarragona on Spain’s Costa Daurada.
Chris, from Glasgow, Scotland, watched the rush as the poolside opened at 9am during his week-long stay at the hotel this month.
‘It was a manic race and scramble for the sunbeds surrounding the pool at the hotel’, he said.
The Glaswegian added: ‘I don’t judge but found it funny so had to film it.
He said people had queued up at the doors to get their towels on a sunbed every day of his holiday, only to then dash back inside for breakfast before returning for a swim.
