No one was injured when a ComEd transformer blew on the 40th floor of the Kluczynski Federal Building in the Loop Monday morning, a spokesperson with the fire department confirmed.
The situation was under control, though some elevators were not working, as of about 8:10 a.m. at the high-rise at 230 S. Dearborn St., Chicago Fire Department officials said.
There were people in the building, but none were injured, according to the fire department.
ComEd crews are on the scene, repairing the transformer, according to a spokesperson.
No further information was immediately available.
