Two men are accused in an October shooting that left two boys, 16 and 17 dead and a 21-year-old man injured in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the city’s South Side.
Omarion Roberson, 19 and Jarvis Bell, 32, were both charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder, Chicago police said.
The dead included Dejavae Christopher, 16, and Tamarion Hakeen West, 17, who were shot several times on Oct. 22 around 8 a.m. in an apartment building in the 8100 block of South Marshfield Avenue, according to police. A 21-year-old man was shot in the arm and survived.

Roberson, of the 9600 block of South Bishop Street, and West, of the 8000 block of South Marshfield Avenue, were slated to appear for a detention hearing Tuesday at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse.
Several neighbors and the victims’ family members stood outside the apartment building after the shooting. They sobbed and held one another as police investigated the crime scene.
Donovan Price, a street pastor who supports crime victims and their families, said at the time the scene inside the apartment was “devastating” and “horrific.”
