Dana White is ready to rumble. At a Barrett-Jackson auction held on the anniversary of 9/11, the UFC and Zuffa Boxing boss just picked up VIN 001 of the Ram 1500 “Rumble Bee” SRT—a hi-po revival of a limited-edition 2004-2005 Dodge Ram nameplate that was clad in yellow and black stripes in a nod to the colorful flying insect.
With a supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat HEMI V8 producing 777 horsepower and 680 pound-feet of torque behind its snout, the pickup will hit 60 mph in 3.4 seconds on its way to 170 mph and hit a quarter mile in 11.6 seconds. White’s is the flagship of the Rumble Bee trim family, which also includes the entry-level Rumble Bee 5.7 (so named for HEMI V8’s displacement) and the Rumble Bee 392, featuring the 392 Track Pack alongside Brembo brakes, air suspension, and a naturally aspirated 6.4-liter HEMI V8. But according to the auction house, White is getting a host of factory upgrades including a 3.0-liter supercharger good for 900 horsepower, a stainless steel cat-back exhaust, black rims, and other flourishes.
The Rumble Bee SRT starts at $94,995, and just one of those add-ons would push White’s in six-figure territory. But the MMA promoter paid $1.5 million—the entirety of which went to Folds of Honor Foundation, which provides scholarships to families of deceased and disabled veterans—to also get a a crazed 2005 Ram 1500 SRT-10. Once the world’s fastest truck, its 500 horsepower are developed in the screaming 8.3-liter V10 from a Dodge Viper.
The retro 4×4 will benefit from an overhaul by dealer ProMotorsports and premiere aftermarket manufacturer RealTruck, including a two-tone paint scheme, yellow up top and black on the lower body, plus black hood graphics and Viper-inspired bedside graphics. It’ll ride on custom wheels finished to match in yellow and black and feature RealTruck PowerStep running boards, a RealTruck Pro X15 soft roll-up tonneau cover, and Husky Liners floor liners and bed protection.
White’s hefty new rides will fit in nicely with his collection, which also includes a Ferrari Testarossa, a Ferrari F430 Spider he picked up after UFC’s $4 billion deal in 2016, a BMW M6 Gran Coupe, and a Cadillac Escalade ESV, per Motorious. Talk about a knockout collection.
