With Vice President JD Vance scheduled to speak at the Nixon Presidential Library & Museum this afternoon, several roads in the area will be closed today (Thursday, June 25).
Yorba Linda Boulevard is closed in both directions between Woodcrest Drive and Park Place.
Eureka Avenue is closed between Yorba Linda Boulevard and Lemon Drive. Parking is also not allowed in this area until 4 p.m. this afternoon.
These roads are closed now until 3 p.m., although the advisory from the city of Yorba Linda did note that the times are approximate and could change.
“Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area, use alternate routes and allow additional travel time,” the advisory said.
Vance is appearing this afternoon at a ticketed event for a discussion on “the issues shaping America’s future.” It comes on the heels of his new memoir, “Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith.”
The sold-out talk, at 1 p.m., will be streamed on C-SPAN.
Vance and the second lady were in San Diego earlier in the week.
