Cops and three fire crews scrambled to the scene after a plume of smoke was seen rising from a house.

A man’s body was then found in the back garden of a “highly reclusive” family who have reportedly not been seen for several years.

Susan Poole, 52, of Shetland Close, is due to appear at Bradford Magistrates’ Court today charged with the man’s murder.

West Yorkshire Police said a 26-year-old man who was also arrested in connection with the man’s death has been released on bail.

Det Ch Insp Matt Holdsworth said officers have “a number of ongoing enquiries into the incident and the circumstances surrounding it”.

He asked anyone with information about the incident to contact police and for people not to speculate on social media.

More to follow.
