Woman arrested after man found dead in Bay Area hotel room

Suisun police arrested 54-year-old Terry Hawkins, of Vacaville, Wednesday on suspicion of first degree murder in connection to the homicide of a man found unresponsive in a local hotel on April 12.

On the day of the incident, police say officers responded to the hotel at 2 Harbor Center at approximately 3:30 p.m. and immediately attempted life saving measures, which were unsuccessful. Responding officers also noted at the time of their arrival that the victim had at least one significant puncture wound.

The deceased male has been identified by the Solano County Coroner’s office as Eric Gorby, 53, from Suisun City.

Hawkins was taken into custody at the Suisun City Police Department Wednesday morning at approximately 9:30 a.m. Officials said there are no other outstanding suspects at this time. The investigation remains ongoing, however, and anyone with additional information about this incident is asked to contact the Suisun City Police Department Investigations Division at (707) 421-7373.
