A woman was injured in a residential fire early Wednesday in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.
The Chicago Fire Department responded to the blaze in the 8000 block of South Ellis Avenue around 2:45 a.m., a fire department spokesperson said.
One person was hospitalized in fair condition, officials said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
