A woman was killed and a 17-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting early Friday in Grand Crossing on the South Side.
Around 12:50 a.m., the 37-year-old woman and teen were in a home in the 7600 block of South Eberhart Avenue when gunfire pierced through a window and struck them both, Chicago police said.
The woman was shot multiple times in the body and pronounced dead, police said. The teen was reported to be in good condition at University of Chicago Medical Center after being shot in his left hand.
Area 2 detectives were investigating.
