Arsenal are preparing a move to sign Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis, according to reports.

Mikel Arteta is looking to sign a left-sided attacking player to strengthen his squad after he guided Arsenal to winning the Premier League title last season.

Tzolis, who spent a season in the Premier League with Norwich City, has made an impressive impact in his two years at Club Brugge, scoring 43 goals in 108 appearances.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal are now ‘exploring a deal’ to sign Tzolis this summer.

The report adds that Club Brugge, who were crowned Belgian champions three weeks ago, would accept a €40 million (£34.5m) bid for Tzolis, while the move would not have an impact on Arsenal’s pursuit of Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers.

Last summer, Club Brugge rejected a bid from Crystal Palace of €32m (£27.6m) plus bonuses for Tzolis. Palace followed up in January with a €40m (£34.6m) offer, which was also turned down.

Tzolis was crowned Belgian Pro League Player of the Season last month after he scored 22 goals and registered 29 assists across all competitions to help his club win the league title.

Tzolis, who has made 33 appearances for Greece, was signed by Club Brugge in a €6m (£5m) deal from German side Fortuna Düsseldorf in 2024.

When asked about his future last month, Tzolis said: ‘In the past, I always wanted to leave after one season. I had that feeling a bit last year too, but staying was the best choice I could make. I have everything here to be happy.’

Tzolis could be brought in as a potential replacement for Gabriel Martinelli, with reports claiming that Arsenal are open to offers for the Brazil international this summer.
