Kylie Kelce Hit With Backlash After Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce Wedding Tirade

Kylie Kelce is drawing backlash after griping about questions surrounding Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding, as her comments quickly set off a wave of reactions online.

Kylie Kelce’s profanity-laced tirade — seen by some as unnecessarily blunt — fueled a split reaction across social media, with critics piling on while others argued she was simply setting boundaries.

It started on the April 2 episode of Kylie Kelce’s podcast Not Gonna Lie. According to Awful Announcing‘s Brendon Kleen, Kylie unloaded on anyone who has been pressing her, or her mother-in-law, Donna Kelce, for details about the upcoming nuptials. Kylie Kelce is the wife of retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, which makes her sister-in-law to Travis Kelce.

“I just want to say to literally everybody: quit asking me and my mother-in-law about upcoming nuptials,” she said. “Nobody is f****** telling you anything. I don’t have any details.” She then singled out TMZ by name, calling them “creeps in the f****** airport.”

Kylie Kelce’s Blunt Policy Statement

Kelce then signed off with her new personal policy about Taylor Swift questions.

“You know what my answer’s going to be?” she said on her podcast. “I know nothing. Suck my a**.”

The rant was triggered in part by TMZ approaching Donna Kelce at Los Angeles International Airport on March 30, peppering her with questions about the planned wedding, reportedly set for June 13 at the Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. Donna kept her composure during the encounter, but was visibly uncomfortable. Kylie was having none of it.

Not everyone was sympathetic. Page Six rounded up a flood of critical reactions from X users who pointed out that Kylie owes her own high-profile platform largely to Swift’s extraordinary fame.

“The only reason anyone listens to Kylie is Taylor Swift. The ego here is incredible,” one fan wrote, as quoted by Page Six.

Another added bluntly, “No one would listen to her if Travis wasn’t marrying Taylor.”

And yet another took a shot at Travis and Jason Kelce’s own hugely popular podcast.

New Heights was an average podcast. Sort of amateurish. It didn’t get popular until Travis started dating Taylor,” one user wrote.

One of the more viral takedowns came in the form of a South Park meme. The meme consisted of a gif mocking Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s “Worldwide Privacy Tour,” with the caption, “Kylie Kelce telling people to stop asking her about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding on the podcast she started for the sole purpose of monetizing her relationship/proximity to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.”

Some Sympathy for Kylie Kelce As Well

The backlash wasn’t universal. Writer Robin Raven at Yahoo! came to Kylie Kelce’s defense, arguing that Swift’s fellow sister-in-law said what a lot of Swift fans were already thinking.

Raven pointed to the LAX ambush of Donna Kelce as the real offense, namely, a woman who never chose public life being tailed through an airport by someone with a camera.

“Kylie didn’t hold back, and I was cheering her on as I listened,” the Yahoo! scribe wrote. “Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce deserve their privacy, and so do their families.”

Some fans on X also pushed back against the pile-on. “She said what she said and honestly respect the energy — some things just don’t belong to the public,” one user wrote, per The Comeback.

What Do We Actually Know About the Swift-Kelce Wedding?

In fairness to Kylie, there isn’t much to share even for those who would. Swift and Kelce got engaged in August 2025 and are reportedly planning the June 13 ceremony at the Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, a date that happens to fall on Swift’s half-birthday, a detail the reportedly numerology-obsessed singer is unlikely to have chosen by accident.

Guests are said to have been asked to sign NDAs. No official details have been confirmed by either camp. Travis’s bachelor party, according to E! Online, is expected to be a low-key trip with close friends including Jason Kelce and Patrick Mahomes. As for the bride, she reportedly won’t have traditional bridesmaids at the ceremony.

In other words: Kylie Kelce probably isn’t holding out on anyone. But whether that makes her rant more justified or less — fans are clearly not done arguing about it.
