Man Utd fans turn on Derek Chisora after he posts picture catching up with controversial ‘old friend’

DEREK CHISORA has incurred the wrath of Manchester United fans for proudly posing for a snap with Avram Glazer.

Del Boy has been a lifelong fan of the Red Devils and has proudly stuck by them during their ups and downs since Sir Alex Ferguson‘s retirement in May 2013.

But his recent selfie with Glazer – whose family owns a majority stake in the club – has infuriated some of the Old Trafford faithful.

One furious Red Devil commented on the X post: “Disgrace to our fanbase.”

Another said: “My God.”

And another said: “Should have told him to sell the club.”

One remarked: “He and his siblings have destroyed the club and Derek is out here getting starstruck and asking for selfies.”

Another chimed in: “If you were a real Manchester United like you say you are I don’t think you would take a selfie with him.

“What did you do? Thanked him for all the good he’s done?”

Chisora, 40, seemingly doesn’t care about the criticism he’s received and has yet to respond to.

The former two-time WBC heavyweight title challenger hasn’t been shy in vocalising his displeasure at United’s woes in recent years.

And after seeing the Red Devils suffer a 4-0 defeat to bitter rivals Liverpool two years ago, he revealed he’d adopt an unconventional method to whip them into shape if he were team manager.

He told talkSPORT: “I’d slap them up, I’d tell them to wake up. They’re an embarrassment. They’re not playing for the badge anymore.

“Even the whole Premier League is an embarrassment right now, none of them play for the badge anymore.

“Back in the day, a derby was a derby.

“You would know that if Man United were playing Man City it’s going to be a great derby, if Arsenal were playing Tottenham it’s going to be a great derby.

“I just think we have too many foreigners in the league, so the derby’s are done now.”
