Following the Detroit Pistons‘ win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, some of the attention was on the status of the starting forward, Tobias Harris.
Early on in the matchup, the Pistons lost Harris to a suspected knee injury. The initial diagnosis was a contusion. Harris was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
When he checked out, the veteran forward had spent just six minutes on the court. During that time, Harris shot 1-1 from the field, accounting for just two points. He also had one assist and one foul.
After the game, Pistons head coach JB Bickerstaff was asked about Harris’ status. Unfortunately, he didn’t have much to offer to the public at that time.
âI donât have an update for you on Tobias yet,” Bickerstaff told reporters.
The head coach then went on to explain that the decision behind playing bigs Jalen Duren and Paul Reed within the same lineup was not a matter of Harris’ absence.
âThe idea of playing Jalen Duren and Paul Reed together was that I thought we just needed more size,” the head coach stated.
“They went big ⦠It was just important for us to put some big guys out there that could match them and play pick-and-roll coverage, so we didnât have to switch as much.”

The Pistons Sealed The Deal vs Minnesota Timberwolves
Without Harris in the mix, the Pistons took care of business.
A 113-108 victory was in store for Detroit.
The young guard Daniss Jenkins led the way with 26 points and eight assists. The veteran center Jalen Duren accounted for 22 points and 14 rebounds.
With that victory, the Pistons improved to 56-21 on the year. By winning eight of their last 10, the Pistons once again improved their lead as the Eastern Conference’s top team. The Boston Celtics trail by 4.5 games.

The Pistons Have Concerns Moving Forward
Cade Cunningham will miss another week of action due to a collapsed lung.
Isaiah Stewart has been out of the lineup for weeks, and doesn’t have a target date for his return.
Now, the veteran forward Tobias Harris has a mystery going on.
This season, Harris had 58 games under his belt heading into Thursday’s action. The Pistons veteran is shooting 46.1% from the field, knocking down threes at a 34.9% clip. He averages 13.3 points per game.
Along with his scoring, Harris is producing 5.2 rebounds per game. He is also dishing out 2.6 assists per game.
Soon, the Pistons will have more clarity on Harris’s setback. On Saturday, April 4, the Pistons will pay a visit to the Philadelphia 76ers.
